Objective:
Students will experimentally determine the densities of known metals and compare their experimental results to their actual values.

Warm-Up

1. A substance with a mass of 30.00 g has a density of 8.90 g/mL. What is the volume of the sample?

2. What is density a measurement of?
Hint- think of its physical meaning.
Use common language in your answer.

Daily Plan:

1st Half of Class

1. Activity- Density of Metals Lab (collect data)
                   Accepted Density Values for Metals

2. Go over Density Practice 1

2nd Half of Class

3. Activity- Density Practice 2
                   Density Practice 2 KEY
Density Practice 2 KEY WITH WORK

Homework:
1. Work on Density Practice 2 (B.O.P. 9/12)
2. Work on Density of Metals Lab (E.O.P. 9/15)
3. Complete HWQ- Density 1 by midnight (9/18)
