Warm-Up: 

Use your Introduction to the Periodic Table Intro. Activity to answer the following:

1. What are horizontal rows of elements called on the P.T.?

2. What are vertical columns of elements called on the P.T.?

3. What are the three main classes of elements?  Please give a property of each.

4. What does malleable mean?  Ductile?

5. What kind of ions do metals form?

6. What kind of ions do non-metals form?

7. Which scientist organized the elements by mass?

8. Which scientist organized the elements by atomic number?

9. What is periodic law?

10. What does diatomic mean?  List the diatomic elements?
