Objectives:
1. Students will be able to utilize BCA tables to solve stoichiometry problems.
2. Students will be able to solve mass to mass stoichiometry problems.
Warm-Up:
Part 1- Use dimensional analysis to convert the following:
A. 85.0 g Sr3P2 grams = ? Sr3P2 moles (molar mass = 324.81 g/mol )
B. 3.33 moles HBr = ? HBr grams
(molar mass = 80.91 g/mol)
Part 2- Mass to Mass Stoichiometry
2 NaHCO3 --> 1 Na2CO3 + 1 CO2 + 1 H2O
How many grams of NaHCO3 (84.01 g/mol) would be required to produce 30.0 grams of water? (18.02 g/mol)
Daily Plan:
1st Half of Class
1. Go Over Mass to Mass Stoichiometry Practice 1
2nd Half of Class
2. Activity- Mass to Mass Practice 2
Mass to Mass Practice 2 KEY
Mass to Mass Practice 2 KEY (BCA Tables)
Mass to Mass Practice 2 KEY WITH WORK
Homework:
1. Complete Mass to Mass Practice 2 (B.O.P. 3/17)
2. Complete HWQ- Mass to Mass Stoichiometry by midnight (3/23)
