ObjectiveStudents will be able to stoichiometrically calculate the limiting reagents for chemical reactions.

Warm-Up

A cake recipe calls for the following:
4 eggs
6.25 cups flour
2.25 cups sugar

Your pantry has the following:
12 eggs12.5 cups flour6.75 cups of sugar

1. How many cakes could you make with the ingredients you have?
2. If you have any left over ingredients, how much would there be?

Write a "recipe equation", use "ingredient ratios", and the BCA Table to solve.

Daily Plan:

1st Half of Class

                Limiting Reagents (TEACHER)
                Limiting Reagents (Lecture Video

2nd Half of Class

                   Limiting Reagents Practice 1 KEY
Limiting Reagent Practice 1 KEY (Equations and Molar Masses)
Limiting Reagent Practice 1 KEY (BCA Tables)
Limiting Reagents Practice 1 KEY WITH WORK

*(FYI: Amount of Phosphorous should be .646 mols NOT .648 mols, this will translate to an excess reagent mass of 7.06 g NOT 7.12 g)*

Homework:
1. Complete Limiting Reagents Practice 1 (B.O.P. 3/27)
2. Complete HWQ- Percent Yield Stoichiometry by midnight (3/30)
